What a great filament brand. Love the color

The more filaments I buy from this brand, the more I convince myself to get more colors from Ziro.
Jus bought the silver PLA and I was amazed with the finish and quality.
First thing that I liked, was the clean print finish I get with all Ziro filaments. This was a silk silver PLA, and some silk filaments, no matter the printer's tuning, tend to produce stringing at some point of the print process. Not with this one. Printed figures get a pretty neat and clean finish and very precise layering.
The second was the color. This one got a really awesome looking metallic shining silver at the end. Used it to print a vintage landing platform for a sciFi spaceship and it almost look like real metal. Loved it.
I compared it with a eSun silver filament I have, and the difference in quality and color is HUGE.
I haven't been disappointed with any Ziro filament so far. Glad that I found this brand. Keep it up!

Nearly rated this a goose egg

I would give this more like 3.5 stars but I settled on 3. For me this stuff has been a bear to dial in. I finally figured out how to get some great prints but I nearly gave up on it. I'm using an ender 3 with a bowden setup, nearly stock but with a few upgrades, all metal hotend, metal extruder with a single stainless steel gear. I wasted nearly half a roll of the silk silver before realizing what my problem was. I calibrated everything on my printer, e steps, x,y,z steps, I ran a temp tower, a string towers, flow cubes, you name it and I still kept having under extrusions and some over extrusions. I will say I had some popping so I dried the filament with several six hour sessions in my filament drier which helped but still didn't fix my under extrusions issues. You can see from the photos numerous prints that didn't fail, but had some bad surfaces defects. Then finally some gorgeous prints of my robot project. This filament is very fickle with retractions. In Cura, I had my retraction window set at 10mm with 10 retractions within that window but to prevent excessive string, I had to increase that number to 22 retractions. This unfortunately caused too much grinding on the filament so by the time my outer walls were printed, I would not have the consistent 1.75mm filament that caused under extrusions on the surface. To fix this I set my outer walls to print at 10% over my calibrated flow rate or at 110% and turned off z hop. This finally fixed the under extrusions and provided some really nice prints. I really wanted this to work since this brand has some of the nicest shiny silk silver and gold I've seen. The silver nearly looks like the shiny side of aluminum foil when you get just right. My Cura settings for theses prints on my machine is 211 degrees, 5mm retraction at 40 mm/s, speed at 20mm/s, bed at 50 degrees, fan at 100% after 2nd layer. I'm retracting at layer change but needed to turn off z hop, arch welder on, coasting on, ironing off. A level bed and properly calibrated mesh goes without saying. Overall, I'm happy with the results but nearly pulled my hair out dialing in this material and still needing to dry it hence the three stars. I do like that they include an aluminum zip lock bag to store your filament, and about 5 meters of cleaning filament and a sample bag of their multi colored filament. I would say give it a try, just realize if your using a similar machine you may spend some time getting the best results.

Silky metallic finish. Easy to print.

Great PLA with very minimal layering. I am very happy with the overall look of the finished product. The image shown, by Laveniuk under Creative Commons, was printed at 300 mm/s vs the recommended 100 mm/s per second.

Great looking filament.

This filament is the best silver color for anything that needs to look like metal. I have bought 4 roles in 2 months and I plan to keep coming back.

EDIT: I had left a 2 star review before detailing a bad experience where the filament tangled and caused a 10 day print to fail, but I have since been refunded. I also bought another role and it was perfect.
