Really Impressed

Really impressed. The packaging is top notch. I'm amazed at how well the filament is so perfectly laid out on the spool. Definitely no tangles. My prints are all nice and smooth with no adhesion problems at all. I greatly appreciate the samples of other colors and the cleaning filament. I've used it to clean out my nozzle after printing black TPU and then printing matte white. Not a sign of black anywhere.

The price vs qaulity of prints is bery good.

I have tried several brands of filament and always come back to Ziro. The print quality has always been better with Ziro. It has a more even flow of plastic without air bubbles unlike some cheaper brands. I have also had fewer problems with stringing.

outstanding!

Purchased black.
I've used Ziro filament in other colors with excellent results. This black filament prints flawlessly!! I set mine to print at 220C, with the bed at 50C. No complaints, great price.

Prints are unusually brittle.

This filament printed fine and the prints it made looked fine as well, but for prints that were designed to support weight the filament was unusually brittle and have layers separate when the same prints with different filaments would not, on prints when torquing machine screws I had similar issues other materials were fine but putting screws in prints with this material would cause the prints to split along layer lines.

it's fine for simple objects but not good for things that require screws threaded into them or will hold weight like hangers etc.

Prints just fine, placing more attention on adhesion

Printing Experience: Low
Printer tested on: Bambu P1S + Gold PEI Textured Plate
Slicer used: Bambu Studio (treated as Bambu PLA Basic)

There's a good chance you will encounter bed adhesion issues if the plate isn't cleaned off with dish soap and warm water. I encounter cotton-candy stringing (10-23% RH) when printing at 220C. Will experience less of it at 210C. No retraction settings configured.

March 2025 update: Ziro PLA filament (basic PLA, not silk, colour-shift, etc) is still good to use. I must reiterate the importance of making sure your plate is washed with dish soap prior to using to reduce the chance of filament not adhering to the surface. Among OVERTURE, ERYONE and this, Ziro is the most likely non-Bambu brand to have adhesion issues on a Bambu Texture PEI plate (in my experience).

March 2025: Matte "Wood" Update: Clogged my extruder thrice at the exact same point in the same print job. Will investigate further and provide another update. Changed from a 0.4mm to 0.6mm nozzle and still ran into numerous issues:

-filament shrinking (compared to other brands) while printing, filament clogging at nozzle, possible heat creep causing filament further up the heatsink to soften, causing the filament to expand at the extruder gear area. This expansion obstructs the filament from traveling down towards the throat and hotend. Happened 3 times with this filament. Changed the nozzle and filament (different brand), issue no longer present. Possibly a bad roll, but it has been a frustrating experience. Never had this clogging issue with the basic PLA+ black filament though.
