Prints fine, but it barely holds the glow. It will glow intensely after charging it but after 2 minutes its barely glowing anymore.
Update: The seller offered me a refund. I'm hoping this was just a bad batch. I really like the results when it prints, so I'm going to wait a while and try buying again. Another important thing for everyone out there is to be sure to fully dry every filament before printing. Not drying evidently can make the filament brittle as well as cause extrusion problems and stringing. Some filaments come surprisingly humid out of the bag.
This seems to be really poor quality stuff. I can't tell if it's inconsistent diameter or if it's slippery or what. But it does not perform well in the Bambu AMS. Ever time the printer would go to load or unload this filament, it would get stuck. I tried every slot, and I tried other filaments in all the slots. All the other filaments I tried worked fine. But this ZIRO one consistently had problems, both for loading and unloading.
The filament absorbs light really well and stays lit for a decent amount of time. Compared to the glow-in-the-dark stars you can buy most anywhere, this filaments stays lit for10 times (random numerical comparison) the amount.
I wanted to love this - it actually prints pretty well at my usual settings, but the finished prints have sort of a sickly grayish tint to them in the daylight. I was really hoping for more of a white finish like most glow filaments. The glow itself is nice though, something between blue and green (more greenish than I hoped, should have gone with the regular blue instead of the cyan). Ultimately I'm not sure it's going to work for my project due to the color, but if the color works for you it prints well enough.
Festive vibes, cozy scenes, endless creativity.
