Not enough spakles per print

Print nice but not enough sparkles per print.

Good stuff but restricted layer heights

I'm currently testing this filament and have found it to be a good translucent PLA. Its not as clear as PETG but that's normal for PLA so not a drawback at all.

Overall the filament is easy to work with and prints nicely. Some care has to be taken though, lower layer heights will cause the tiny bits of glitter to cause pock marks or get stuck in the print itself. This causes a really rough texture and feels... Not great. Addittionally this means the print itself loses all the glitter and won't sparkle much at all.

That said, if you can, print this at around . 18mm layer heights. The the effect is really nice and very noticeable there.

Extra notes: polishing this clears up the layer lines and does make it a bit shinier but you run the risk of removing the glitter as well.

I'll be experimenting more to find out what height this needs exactly.

Tested so far;
.18mm - sparkles nicely, low detail
.18mm polished - shiny but not as much glitter
.05mm - great details but too low for sparkles to make it through

Update: I unfortunately have to knock off a few stars. The reason for this is tangling. It got so bad the Spool rammed my printer and nearly knocked it over. I can only imagine what would have happened if I hadn't been nearby. The cause of the tangles seems to be related to the glitter flakes catching on the strands of filament beneath the one being fed. You may want to rewind these spools just to be certain that they wont snag on you.

ZIRO Delivers Quality Filament

First experience with ZIRO was in 2017 or 2018 with this blue glitter filament. It didn't disappoint then, today is no exception. Prints well. no drying or fussing.

I have used hundreds of types of filament. This is not that good.

I have printed hundreds and hundreds of items using many different types of filament. I run two printers, and ender 3 pro modified and a CR-10S modified. I do know how to use 3-D printers and different types of Filament. I bought two different colors of this filament and both have the same problem. No matter what settings or temperature I print with this filament it is extra brittle and does not adhere well. I do use auto bed leveling an even with glass or PEI. Did he? Definitely sputters out and sometimes does not even stick to itself. A long print just falls apart during printing.

The best spool I may never use again!

To be clear, this review is specifically for the starry blue w/sparkles color filament from Ziro. I have a spool of their gold that even 5 stars isn't high enough to rate it, so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt with this roll. Yes, I had minor adhesion issues, but nothing a little baby stepping didn't solve. The major issue is it's fragility. Within 5 minutes after cracking the bag's seal, it snapped while it was going through the extruder. I pulled it out & was able to easily snap another 2-3 cm off the end. Reset everything, only to have it snap 3 times during a 16 hour print. To refute naysayers, I'm in PA at the end of November...I could only wish for more humidity in our home right now. Even if humidity is to blame, I have never had a spool literally start degrading within minutes!
