Feb 2025 update on another purchase. This ZIRO Diamond series filament is nothing less than amazing! I just purchased 3 more spools and am excited to try my 2 new colors.
** The extra little touches - first of all, the filament is well packed, see my photo. Obviously, the plastic spool is nice because it fits just about every printer. Besides, we can use our recycle bins, but the local counties/states only recycle 5-15% of what we sort (sad). Also, ZIRO adds a random sample of one of their filaments and a reasonably long piece of the nozzle cleaning filament, thats amazing in itself!! One more thing, they include a resealable, light blocking bag to store your filament. If the coolness and quality of their filament wasnt enough, they know how to treat their customers; I hope they stick around!
I think this may be my first ZIRO brand purchase, but wont be my last; WOW, even better than expected, in all ways!!
Adhesion is perfect, if that exists, but I do use mouse ear brims on corners to be sure. I cant say enough about the color and glitter, although Im not sure I like the glitter term as it sounds a bit much. There is a bit of sparkle, but it isnt overly the top. I often find myself replacing using this red over regular red because its so nice, even though its more of a brick red.
I print on Ender 3 Neo and Bambu X1C @ 220/55 and have not had issues at all, totally satisfied with this filament.
Decent filament, didn't need to increase heat much to get a good print on my CR10v2. Was slightly disappointed though that the Diamond Red colour was less red and more orange than expected.
The spider is the actual printed color vs the object on the bottom, which I had expected the color to look. Its more of a shiny brown, bronze, or burnt orange than a red. I still like the color but it won't work for what I want it for.
This filament is definitely lighter in color than what is shown on Amazon. It's much less burgundy and very bright. That said it's very sparkly and all around gorgeous. Makes a wonderful Cindermaw style dice tower or a giant fidget toy slug!
I purchased a roll of the Diamond Green to make some prints for a friend. The color is beautiful. I didnt have any issues printing. Had to dial in the temps properly like any other PLA, but the quality of this PLA is some of the best Ive seen. Everything turned out beautiful. I will definitely purchase more of this.
