Beautiful and Functional

First off the filament arrived dry and ready to print. Very minimal stringing even on small delicate prints. I am printing on an A1-Mini Halfway through the roll with no tangles so far. Extremely easy to print, always sticks to a clean print bed.

Difficult to Work With, But...

My feelings are somewhat mixed on this filament. I have been working with 3D models and printing for 10 years plus and I've come to learn that almost all filaments have their quirks. This particular filament has more than its fair share of quirks.

Like others, I found that this prints best at the maximum hot end temp rating (220c), but the downside to that is that you can end up with unwanted blobs. Turning the heat down less than 210c will almost invariably get you a clogged nozzle.

The best I can say is this will try your patience, but if you get everything dialed in right, it will give you a nice print, maybe not the best, but more than good enough for an untrained eye.

Great looking, very durable filament

I bought this filament to print a set of extra gaudy bagpipes for St. Patrick's day. This filament tends to string/ooze quite a bit more than most PLAs, you will have to experiment with temperature settings but I found that lowering my nozzle temp and print speed seemed to help. I've had no issues with clogging or spool jams thus far using 0.4 and 0.6 mm brass nozzles.

This filament's layer adhesion is phenomenal, easily the strongest of any non "pro" PLA I've used. I had to change my support settings after nearly mangling my first print trying to remove it - even a layer-height gap between support and print will stick together firmly, so be mindful of your support interface pattern. As a tradeoff the finished pieces are a bit "softer" than a normal PLA. I suppose this makes them easier to scratch, but the sparkle finish on these colors will hide scratches very well and a quick pass with a lighter can make the problem disappear altogether.

The one thing I wasn't too pleased with is that the Emerald is noticeably darker in person than in the manufacturer's photos (and slightly translucent but I expected that). That said, I don't think I've ever encounter a filament that matches the manufacturer's photos when you get it. Overall I'm very pleased with this filament and will probably try another color of it in the future.

Looks great and prints like PLA

I got the Emerald color to print a Space Needle model. The product picture, filament, and prints all look slightly different shades of green with the prints looking the best and the product picture looking pretty close the end result (on my screen). It is a wonderful deep and sparkly material that looks great. Due to the recommended temps being slightly higher than other PLA, I upped my nozzle temp to 210C and kept a 60C bed. It is printing just like other PLA I've printed fresh out the bag and I haven't had to change any other settings. My brass 0.4mm nozzle is holding up for now and we'll see if the glitter clogs it after a few prints and hotend heating/cooling cycles.
